Stainless steel ball parameters

2023-10-10

Stainless steel ball annealing temperature is very low, as a tool and bearing heat treatment, the recommended hardness in HRC57-59, if the cryogenic treatment, hardness can reach HRC60.

Stainless steel is a high carbon and high chromium martensitic stainless steel. The carbon content is 1.0% and the chromium content is 17%. Scope of application:

It is mainly used to manufacture bearing parts that work in corrosive environment and strong oxidizing atmosphere without lubrication. Stainless steel balls have good high temperature dimensional stability, so they can also be used as corrosion resistant high temperature bearing steel. In addition, it can also be used to manufacture high-quality cutting tools, such as medical scalpels, scissors, nozzles, bearings, etc. The 440 stainless steel ball has a low capacity to withstand dynamic loads.

The steel is martensitic stainless steel, the carbon content is higher than 3cr13 steel, so the strength and hardness are higher than 3cr13 steel; other properties are similar to 3cr13 steel; but the weldability is poor. Usually not used for welding materials · Used for manufacturing surgical tools ·SUS440 stainless steel ball Imported from Japan stainless steel is used for manufacturing bearing parts that work in corrosive environments and strong oxidation without lubrication. The steel also has good dimensional stability at high temperature, which can be used to manufacture corrosion-resistant high-temperature bearings and tools at temperatures not exceeding 250 ° C.

Hardness: Annealed,≤269HB; Quench and temper,≥55HRC

Heat treatment specification: 1) annealing,800 ~ 900℃ slow cooling; 2) Quenching,1000 ~ 1050℃ oil cooling; 3) Tempering,200 ~ 300℃ air cooling.
